We developed HA Body Hydrator as a treatment to hydrate for softer, smoother, and plumper-looking skin. It can hydrate as a lightweight layer on its own, but it can also act as a powerfully hydrating boost when you apply it under lotion or body oil.
Hyaluronic Acid for the Body
Hyaluronic acid is a powerful humectant, which means it hydrates skin through its impressive capacity to attract and retain moisture. (In fact, it can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water.) Those hydrating properties are also why hyaluronic acid is helpful for plumping: Drawing moisture into the skin is what helps create a plumping effect.
HA Body Hydrator Ingredients
The key ingredient here is, of course, hyaluronic acid in the form of sodium hyaluronate. More on that below—along with the other ingredients that round out the formula.

How to Use Hyaluronic Acid Body Serum
After showering and towel drying, smooth a generous amount of the hyaluronic acid body serum all over. (You can apply it to dry skin, but you’ll get the most out of its humectant effects by using it on damp skin.)
Sheer and fast-absorbing, application is mess-free: We love to apply it alone as a lightweight layer of hydration. In warmer months or even before exercise, it’s a great alternative to traditional lotions or oils because the formula is less occlusive—meaning it doesn’t trap heat in the same way.
Can I Layer the HA Body Hydrator with Lotion or Body Oil?
Used alone, this hyaluronic acid body serum is a lightweight but effective layer of hydration. When combined with another layer of moisture, it acts as a hydration boost underneath.
HA Body Hydrator will always be your first hydrating product when you step out of the shower. For added moisture and nourishment—or even to layer on your favorite scent—smooth either body lotion, body butter or body oil on top to help seal everything in.
